The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.

According to legend, a young man while roaming the desert came across a spring of delicious crystal-clear water. The water was so sweet, he filled his leather canteen so he could bring some back to a tribal elder who had been his teacher.

After a four-day journey he presented the water to the old man who took a deep drink, smiled warmly and thanked his student lavishly for the sweet water. The young man returned to his village with a happy heart.

Later, the teacher let another student taste the water. He spat it out, saying it was awful. It apparently had become stale because of the old leather container.

The student challenged his teacher: “Master, the water was foul. Why did you pretend to like it?”

为了使北仑中学的通讯报道工作与学校的其他各类工作一起协调发展，改变当时我们学校通讯报道工作相对比较薄弱的现状，全方位、迅速、及时地报道学校教育教学中的先进事例，2004年2月14日，北仑中学建立了一个通讯报道小组，该小组以校办主任乐纳红老师为组长，各年级组、各处室相关负责人为报道组成员，并规定了相应的考核奖励制度，其完成落实指标情况与各处室、年级组评优挂钩。从那以后，我们学校的通讯报道工作开始逐渐摆脱以往的滞后现象，并取得了较明显的成效。

但由于报道组成员比较分散，且人员较多，无法责任到人，故有时难免出现遗漏现象，故2004年12月底，校办更改我们学校的信息报道方案，决定由我来主要负责学校的各类通讯报道工作。

自从我接手这项工作后，除了上课时间外，我尽力参加学校组织的每一项活动、每一场会议，尽可能及时的报道相关事例，个别实在无法参加的，就以询问相关参加活动人员或做简单的电话采访的方法，来了解其中的相关情况，并组织成稿。

当然，作为一名通讯报道员，最重要的是要具有很强的责任心。我担任校信息通讯报道员之后，一方面要承担信息技术教学工作，另一方面要负责校图书馆图书借阅系统维护和图书馆日常借阅管理工作以及一万多册图书的编码入库工作，再加上我出身理科，驾驭文字的能力不是很强，无形中给自己增加了不少压力和工作量，这半年来，我基本上是在业余时间完成这项工作的。虽然信息报道工作给自己增加了不少工作压力，但是每当看到自己写的文章在各个网站发表之后，就有一种难以表达的满足感。

在完成校各类新闻的报道工作的同时，其实也是一个不断学习和进步的过程。每次发完新闻，我都会将教科网上发表出来的文章和自己所写的进行对照，仔细分析自己可能没有处理好的相关环节，以便下次做得更好。

半年来，我虽然在信息报道工作方面做出了较好成绩，但是还不能很及时很全面很准确的报道我们学校的各类先进事例，还不能很好地挖掘一些潜在性的新闻。为了更好的宣传好我们北仑中学，使全社会更快更好地了解北仑中学，在接下来的时间里，我还得继续努力提高自己的语言表达能力，把更多的精力放在信息报道上，争取在2005年下半年做得更好。

很高兴今天能坐在这儿和大家一起交流。以前听其他通讯员们介绍写通讯的方法技巧，写报道的各种策略，今天我在这儿只想和大家说说自己的心里话，聊聊关于通讯员的敬业、奉献精神。

我做学校通讯员的工作今年是第三年了，兼职，做学校团委书记的时候，学校顺便把这个工作也交给了我。我相信台下的很多通讯员都有和我一样的身份。可是，因为我所在的农村中学是现在全区所有中学中规模最小的，条件也相对比较艰苦，举一个最简单的例子，我读中学的时候，试卷是蜡纸刻的，可是如果现在你去各个学校看看，还有刻蜡纸的吗？有！我们学校就是，因此其他硬件软件的设施就不必我多说了。我兼通讯员的职务是我多种兼职之一，教学任务就不必说，我是专职的语文老师，现在又是学校唯一的电脑老师，更是唯一的网站负责老师，因为去年我们学校原来的电脑老师碰上生孩子，以后又去支教了，其他担任的工作还有学校文书，主要是校长室、教导处、政教处的一些文书工作，还包括协助会计做一些与电脑相关事务工作，其他只要是学校和电脑打交道的一些重要事情，也几乎都有我的份，加上档案整理和卫生保健的工作，所以我自己也觉得，在去年琐碎而繁重的日常工作中，在这样一个相对艰苦的学校，我的通讯报道工作能走到今天这一步，真是付出了自己太多的心血和精力，而且这些工作几乎都是我利用休息的时间在家里完成的，因为在去年上半年之前，学校里没有接通网络，同时我在校很少有空的时候能写通讯报道。因此要做到这一点，不得不有一点奉献精神。

而下面我要说的这点很多人都不会相信，但却是真的，我知道很多学校写稿件都是有“报酬”的，或者说叫稿费吧，但是在我们学校，我写了三年，一分钱都没有！校长的意思是既然做了这个职务，干得好是应该的，是份内的事情。我真的很羡慕那些条件好的学校，至少还劳有所得吧，可我没有！我也曾经屡次不想再做下去，可学校里要再找一个能发电子邮件的年轻老师都找不出！我没有办法，我后来之所以能够坚持下来，而且能够做得越来越出色，我只能解释为是慢慢对这份通讯员工作的敬重和热爱吧！我想，凡事预则立，不预则废，既然做了这个，就要尽自己的最大努力把它做的最好！我是这样想，后来也一直是这样做的。没有报酬，我就把稿件的发表看作是对自己的鼓励。现在是一个经济社会，有钱赚的事谁都会做，但不赚钱的事情呢，甚至赔钱的事情呢？！你是不是还会甘之如饴地把它做好？至少我会！

去年有一件事我记忆很深刻，说出来也许会让大家笑话。那是去年的六一节，我刚好前两天结婚，学校六一搞庆祝活动的时候我正休息在家。那天早上，对于要不要去学校拍活动的照片，我着实犹豫了好一阵子，按照我平时工作的惯例，像礼拜天都是风雨无阻骑着自行车去村里拍学生出的宣传黑板报的，那天情况比较特殊，可我心里总惦记着那档子事，可能通讯员做久了，责任心比较强吧。也因为自己反反复复在考虑，最后到九点多了，我也不知怎么的就自己骑着车往学校跑。快到学校门口了，碰到活动结束出来的学生，我总算嘘了一口气，虽然白跑了一趟，还好总算没被学校的老师看到，自己心里还在暗自得意。那次活动我最终没有报道，但那天下午我写了一个征文，后来倒是获得了区里的三等奖。而我之所以那么在意学校的一次普通活动，实在是因为我们学校的特色活动太少了，平时除了教学值得报道的内容需要自己挖空心思地去“挖掘”，去开发，一旦抓住机会，就决不轻易放过。我想，这需要所谓的敬业精神吧，包括对事业的那份责任心。

也因为源于这份责任心，我平时看到教科网的网站上有什么问题或想法，也会及时和简老师联系。比如说去年区运会的时候，我看到网上发的男子110M栏的跨栏成绩比刘翔都好，就及时向简老师反映；比如说关于图片新闻的更新，关于稿件的统计，我自己想到的、觉得有利于网站建设的，也随时和办公室沟通。我觉得，如果我们每个通讯员能多一份责任心，多一点敬业精神，就可以把我们教育系统的通讯工作搞得更好！记得一年来有好几次我写了不是本校、而自己参与事件的新闻报道，像中考阅卷工作、教研信息、团代会等等。

最后还有一点体会和大家分享，我觉得写报道及时性很重要，当天发生的事情最好能当天就写好，马上就发，因为时间越短，感受越真切，也最有写作的欲望。这是我写报道的原则，不管当天如何晚，甚至深夜，我都一定要把它写出来，我才睡得安稳。可能有些人会觉得我很苛求自己是吧，何必呢？轻松一点不好吗？可我觉得，一旦隔了夜，写的激情消失了，写出来的东西可能与第一时间的报道相比，效果会差很多，更不用说过几天了。我知道我们都不是专业的通讯报道员，但只要可以，我们为什么不能要求自己做得更好呢？我对自己的要求是，没有最好，只有更好！事实上，去年的一年，我在各个方面都获得了很多的优秀！

小结是一句话：带着一颗敬业的心，加上一点奉献的精神，只要我们认真努力，就一定会有收获！通讯报道工作如此，其他事情也一样！
