　　但是无论写纯文学还是写歌词，刘晓迪都处于不温不火的状况。没事的时候，她就喜欢跑到波澜壮阔的大海边抒发情怀，呼吸新鲜空气。一天，她在海边看见有位老人在钓鱼，因为老人技巧娴熟，不久就钓了满篓的鱼，羡煞路人。

　　这时一个小孩跑了过来，老人见小孩可爱，要把鱼篓里的鱼送给他，小孩摇摇头。老人诧异地问：“孩子，你为何不要呢?”小孩俏皮地回答说：“我想要你手中的钓竿。”

　　老人抚摸着孩子的头笑笑：“你要钓竿做什么?”小孩神气地说：“妈妈给我讲过一个故事，说要鱼竿比要鱼更重要，这样一辈子就有吃不完的鱼了。”很显然，妈妈给他讲了“授之以鱼不如授之以渔”的故事。

　　刘晓迪一下子豁然开朗，开始反思自己的写作之路，之前的很多作品是对名家风格的跟风，缺乏个性。她和孩子一样，只因羡慕鱼，便盲目地向渔人要鱼竿，却忽视了钓鱼的技巧。

　　而要想突出个性，就要发挥自己的长处。她的特长就是爱思考，发散思维能力强，富有创造性。于是，在坚持写歌词的同时，她开始涉猎广告词创作。

　　没想到在广告领域，凭借她顽强的意志，取得了骄人的成绩。大二时，为威海一家水泵公司创造广告语“青山水泵，力贯长虹”，赚取人生第一桶金500元。后来，又为临沂一家物流公司创作广告语“久隆物流，真心永久”，赚取2000元。此后，她便一发不可收，先后在几家网站投标并中标。

　　机会总是垂青那些有准备的头脑。2010年5月，刘晓迪无意间看到一个创意网站征集全球的创意达人，其中一个悬赏任务就是给麦当劳写广告语。于是，她就轻松地写了一句广告词投了过去。

　　结果，经过激烈角逐，河南卫视播放的《创意时代》栏目，诞生了第2位“金牌创意骑士”刘晓迪，她获得由网站和麦当劳公司提供的奖金3000元以及10万元轿车一辆。
